Reflexology
Reflexology can be traced as far back as Ancient Egypt. Present day reflexology is an off-shoot of the "zone therapy" which was developed by Dr. William Fitzgerald in 1913.  The fundamental belief of reflexology is that there are certain points on every person's feet and hands, which correspond to all parts of the human body. The different parts of the body are reflected in the feet and hands.  Pressure is applied to the point on the feet, which corresponds to the specific body part that needs healing.  Reflexology has been shown to be very effective in the treatment of many health problems such as sports injuries, infertility, pain relief, to reduce stress and tension, and to correct hormonal imbalances.

Thermo Auricular Therapy (aka Hopi Ear Candles)
Ear candles are an ancient, mild and natural therapy and have been used by the Native Americans for many years. The ear candle has been named after the Native American Hopi Tribe (meaning peaceful people).  Fully dressed the client lies down on their side, with their head supported on a pillow so the auditory canal is vertical. A candle is then placed over the ear orifice and ignited. The non-burning end is placed gently into the outer ear passage and is turned lightly to seal it in place. Works by drawing impurities gently to the surface, where they can be removed. Most deposits evaporate and are carried away through the candle ‘chimney’, but some are found in the condensed candle wax residue after it is removed from the ear. None of the candle residue actually goes into the ear.  Users of Hopi ear candles have reported success in treating balance and inner ear problems, build up of wax, ringing in the ears, tinnitus, hearing difficulties and sinus problems as well as colds, ‘flu, sore throats, stress, headaches and migraines. The treatment is a good alternative for people who have found syringing uncomfortable.

The client, fully clothed, sits in a massage chair for the treatment.
